Sheena McMaster graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1987 with an honours degree in Jewellery making and Silversmithing. Since leaving Glasgow School of Art, Sheena has worked in London and in Australia and in 1991 set up her own workshop in Galloway.
Sheena's work is primarily in silver and gold, commissioned pieces with precious stones, engagement and wedding ringsMuch of her work is concentrated on the comparison between silver and the detail of rose and yellow gold granules.
Nature has a large influence on the themes of Sheena's work, and inspiration from natural and organic materials figure strongly. Intricate settings of precious stones in gold and silver set Sheena's work apart, and make all her jewellery individual.
